Account

No, Cambio currently only supports either connecting an existing account or receiving a Cambio card. (Future updates will allow for multiple connected accounts) 

When you create an account, you will be prompted to either connect an account or order a Cambio card. To connect an external account, provide your external account login credentials and we’ll take care of the rest! 

No. If you do not have an external bank account, you can use Cambio as your bank! You will receive a Cambio card as well as Cambio routing and account numbers. 

Cambio can connect to over 4000 banks and credit unions. Simply search your financial institution in our easy to use search bar. If you don’t see it, we do not currently support connection to that institution.  

No, Cambio currently only supports a single bank account connection. To make the most out of Cambio’s benefits, add your primary bank account.

If you don’t see your financial institution in the drop down of the search bar, it means we do not currently support a connection to that institution.

We do not currently support connection of joint bank accounts 

You can make changes to your personal information in your profile located on the top right of your home page. Choose “Edit Information” and confirm your updated information. A Cambio team member may ask you to verify this information.

Yes, you can use services like Zelle or Venmo by using your Cambio account information.  You can find your account number and routing number in your user profile located in the top right of your Home page. Transfer limits may apply, please check your P2P provider’s policies. 

Yes, you can access Cambio anywhere in the US. 

As long as you have a legal form of ID accepted in the US, you can become a member.  Accepted ID’s include but are not limited to: 

  • Taxpayer identification number (SSN or ITIN) 
  • Drivers License, State ID or Passport 
  • Alien identification card

We don’t use ChexSystems or do credit checks so anyone with the above forms of identification may access and use Cambio.

Credit Manager

Cambio Credit Manager automatically monitors your credit report for items that are hurting your credit score.

Know the exact actions to take to work on areas that need improvement! Results may vary and are not guaranteed.  

You have the right to verify any information on your credit report. A dispute is simply a request to the credit bureaus to verify the information on your credit report. 

1/5 credit reports have a material mistake impacting credit scores. You can improve your credit score by verifying the information on your report using disputes.

 

A charge-off is a negative item on your credit report that is likely hurting your credit score. It means that a payment was so late that the original creditor decided to assume it will never be paid.  

A “collection” account is a negative item on your credit report that is likely hurting your credit score. It means that the account was sold to or is being serviced by a collection agency.  

Most of our customers see an improvement in their credit scores after 6 months of using Cambio  

If you have ever been denied for lending then Credit Manager can help you improve your credit score!  

Credit Builder

To qualify, you must have a Cambio subscription and your connected bank account must meet the following criteria:  

  • Account is at least 3 months old 
  • Account is used regularly 
  • Paychecks from an employer or government are deposited to your connected account 
  • Account has a sufficient average  balance 

0%. Cambio does NOT charge interest on the credit builder loan 

Nope! The credit builder loan does not require an initial or opening deposit

 

We do a soft pull on your credit report to verify your identity. This does NOT hurt your credit score.

The payments you make to your credit builder loan will be distributed to your connected bank account at the end of your credit builder loan 

The Cambio credit builder loan is currently fixed at 12 months.

Cambio reports on-time payments to Transunion once every 30 days  

Many credit scores use “Average length of credit history” as a factor. If you close your credit builder loan early, it’s possible it could decrease this factor of your credit score.

It will be reported via our banking partner Services Credit Union as an installment loan.  

Opening a new credit account decreases your average credit account history. Your score should increase after a few months unless other credit activity decreases your credit score.  

Cambio members with connected bank accounts that do NOT meet the minimum requirements will not be eligible for a credit builder loan  

To change your primary payment method, log in to your Cambio account and go to Score >> Benefits >> Credit builder loan. From here select the “Change” button next to your primary payment method. If you’d like to add payment methods, you can connect another bank account on the home page.   

No. Members may only make early payments for the current month’s payment.  

You cannot change the due date of your monthly payments after opening your credit builder loan. 

Nope. We do not charge a late fee for late payments. If you’re having trouble making on-time payments, reach out to us at support@cambiomoney.com and we’ll get it taken care of! 

Identity theft protection

Every year over 15 million Americans have their personal information stolen. Thieves and fraudsters are able to use your personal information to open new credit cards, take out loans, and much more. 

Identity theft can result in a personal loss of thousands of dollars.

Identity theft protection is a service included in a Cambio Plus or Premium membership. This services helps you identify threats to your identity and restore your identity if it’s ever compromised. 

Up to $1 million in asset protection 
Our identity theft asset protection reimburses you for losses related to identity theft restoration including document replacement, loss of income, fraudulent withdrawals from a bank account and legal costs. 

Dark web monitoring
Our systems constantly monitor online chat rooms, message boards and websites across all sides of the web for unauthorized use of your private information. Turn on notifications for instant alerts to threats against your identity. 

SSN monitoring
Our systems detect unauthorized usage of your SSN in situations like loan applications, employment and healthcare records, tax filings, payment platforms and more.  

Log in to your Cambio account and select “Protect my identity” on the home screen. This feature is included in Cambio Plus and Premium subscriptions. 

Turn notifications on to receive instant alerts when we detect a threat to your identity.
